Do I need any dance experience?
You don't need any experience to learn how to dance. Ithika dance theatre caters to a range of skill levels including beginners!
Do I need a partner?
No, you don't need to bring a partner, just enthusiasm!
What do I need to wear?
You should wear whatever you're most comfortable in, preferably something that allows you to move as freely as possible. In terms of footwear, shoes with rubber soles should be avoided as they tend to stick to the floor, other than that, you really can wear whatever shoes you like. Bear in mind that it is a good idea to wear shoes similar to that which you would wear if you were going out dancing, so ladies, a heel of some persuasion is recommended. If you learn in flat shoes and then go out dancing in heels, you may find that you have some trouble with the shift in where you weight sits.
